Audrey

cecilia
Take pictures of your children from the side.  I knew I wanted the ribbon detail so I put their up.
Print the pictures and cut around the outline of your children’s head, face and neck.  Pay close attention to detail and take your time, it will pay off in the end.
Use your printer to then print the outline to the size you want it for your final product.
Cut it out, again take your time.
Use this as an outline to cut the final silhouette onto the black cardstock.
Mod Podge Scrapbook paper onto canvas and allow to dry.
Mod Podge silhouette onto the scrapbook paper.
Hot glue the ribbon detail and you are finished.
Wrap it up and brace yourself for the grandparents to squeal.

This is a bottle we made for my husband 6 or 7 years ago.  He is standing in front of his 1972 Blazer that he restored.  It was a great gift and he has held on to this unopened bottled since then….he must have liked it Winking smile

19 Days of Homemade Gifts ~ Day 16 ~ Bible Verse Scarf

Bible Verse Scarf

Today’s gift is a great gift for our girlfriends.
You will need to find out each of your friends favorite Bible  verses.  This was the most fun part for me because now I know something new about all of my friends.
You Will Need:
1 thin scarf
Sharpie or fabric pen
Bible verse
cardboard

image
This is NOT a hard project but it does take a good bit of time, so don’t plan to start it when you are limited on time.
I laid the scarf across my dinning room table with cardboard underneath to protect the table and just freehanded the verse.
You will need to hold the scarf tight where you are writing because it will slip but that is the hardest part.
Take your time, have fun and then enjoy giving your friend a very personal gift.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

19 Days of Homemade Gifts ~ Day 11~ Chalkboard Coasters

Chalkboard Coasters

Today’s gift is a lot of fun.  You can personalize each coaster for each of your friends.  If you have any inside or silly jokes it would be great to write them on the coasters.  Just like so many of the crafts this month, this one is a great one for your kiddos to make.
You Will Need:
4- 4X4 tiles
sandpaper
chalkboard paint
paint brush
felt protectors
chalk
DSC_0443
Lightly sand the top of each of the coaster and wipe away all of the dust.
Paint several coats of the chalkboard paint onto each tile allowing dry time in between.
DSC_0446
Once you are finished painting and the paint has dried, add felt protector to backside of the tiles on each corner.
DSC_0447

DSC_0452
Use the side of a piece of chalk and rub it all over each tile, wipe away the dust and you are ready to personalize the coasters.
Have Fun!

Today’s gift is perfect for the sentimental person in your life.  Plus, it is crazy simple.
You Will Need:
recipe, written by a family member or yourself
frame
scrapbook paper
spray adhesive

Cut scrapbook paper to fit the frame, spray adhesives to the back of the paper, and stick to the cardboard back of the frame.  Then, spray adhesive the back of the recipe car and attach it to the scrapbook paper.  Finally, put it all back together and you are finish!

I love how each of the recipe cards are different.
