Why I Do What I Do

Not too long ago I started to notice that most everything I do has something to do with teaching people
The Word of God.
Homeschooling my girls
Teaching a Bible class for 3rd – 5th and 6th – 8th grade girls
Working in Women’s Ministry
Making Bible Memory Verse Pillows
Writing a book to help scripture memorization, Growing Girls in Grace
Speaking at conferences
Writing a Bible Study for 6th - 8th grade girls
Please do not read this list and think I am a deep thinking, theology major or something… because
I AM NOT
I am a simple girl with a heart for God and that is all!
Simple is good though.  In the list of all the things that I do, you will only find simple ideas.  For a moment that bothered me and the enemy tried to make me feel insecure about what I do and feel that it was not worthy.  Each time Satan would try this I would just give it to God and pray.  Each time God would tell me it was enough, I was enough.  Then one day during an attack God brought to my mind that His Word is enough.  Did you hear that?
His Word Is Enough
Well, duh!  How had I missed that?  His word is enough and there is not one thing I could add to make it better.  What a relief!  This left me with a renewed passion to push forward into this calling He has for me.  I will teach, write Bible studies, make gifts and speak at conferences about God’s Word.  You will find that I mix in some fun and creative ways to learn The Word but you will not find many words from me because…
His Word Is Enough
His Word is life changing and life sustaining, it is hope for a hopeless world and we need to know it.
Years ago I read Corrie ten Boom’s life story The Hiding Place and was in awe of all that her family went through during WWII (concentration camp) but I was more in awe of how they handled all the adversity.  They lived lives of great faith in times of great persecution.  They lived the way we all hope we would when our faith is tested.  Their faith stood strong and they helped and encouraged others and brought many to Christ through their example. This caused me to question what was different about this family.  What I saw was a family that had a genuine relationship with God and not a Sunday religion.  This family listened daily as the father read aloud from the Bible, they watched a mother with failing health continue to serve without complaint, and they saw others needs being met with their family's stretched thin finances.
This family knew God’s Word, they believed God’s Word and they lived out God’s Word.  When adversity came they had a real relationship with God and their faith stood up to the test.  This is the desire of my heart for myself, my family and everyone God puts in my path.
I pray that you will have a burning desire to know God, know His Word, believe His Word and act out His Word.  So that in future times of adversity your faith will stand strong.
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the
testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the
commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of
the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be
desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter
also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping
them there is great reward.  Psalm 19:7-11

Saying Yes

A few years ago there was a turning point with my walk with God,
a point of an all or nothing decision.
Thankfully, I chose all.
I had no idea what the decision would do to my life at the time or that it would change everything about me on some level.  I remember a prayer time with God where I told Him that my answer was YES.  YES to whatever He would ask of me in the future.  I would Submit my will and desires to Him.  I would submit my attitude and judgments to Him.  I would submit my time and possessions to Him.  I would submit my gifts and talents to Him.  It started small and I can not say that I have done ALL the first time that He has asked or that it has all been easy to surrender and I am for sure not finished… sanctification is until the end.  But here is what I do know because I have trusted and stepped out in faith I have been places and done things for Christ that I know I am not worthy or capable of.  I have watched the God of the universe use me to do things that I know are not in my skill set.  Each new step has shown me that it was never about me and what I can do but always about what needed to be done and the power of God through the Holy Spirit that can and does preform miracles.  With each and every YES that I have given God, I have been amazed at what He has done with it.  He has provided all that was needed and taken care of every detail.  All He ever needed from me was faith big enough to say YES!

Is God calling you to say YES, today?   I pray that each of you who read this will have the faith to say YES to God and the call He has on your life.  Step out and know that all He needs is a YES from you, He will provide the rest.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
                                                                                                                  Luke 17:5-6

This faith walk is an exciting adventure, one that I am excited to share with you!

Growing Girls In Grace ~ Book 1, Chapter 1

You all have blown me away with your love and support of my ebook, even before you really had all the information about it.

PLEASE
know how much you have blessed me.

Today, I am giving you a little peek of the ebook.  It is a Bible Study called Growing Girls in Grace, Book 1
Below is chapter 1.
If you love it and would like to order the ebook for $12 you can purchase
 here
and then I will send you the link to download the entire book.
There are 12 chapters, one for each month of the year, in the book.  Each month is set up like the sample month.
Start the month by copying The Bible Memory Verse Card for the month and spend the month memorizing it with your daughter.  At the end of the month plan a day to make the craft and spend time talking, I have included conversation starter each month to help you break the ice and get things started.  I find that once their hands are busy they are free to share their hearts.  This is a great time to connect with your daughter over
The Word of God.
I recommend this book for girls ages 4-14.
I am currently working on a deeper Bible Study for middle school girls that will also include craft projects each month, and a boy version of both studies.
Check back soon for new books.
Also, I hope to list some new products in the next couple of weeks.
Again, thank YOU for your support.

What a delightful book! It is vital that mothers and daughters spend time together and cultivate a healthy relationship. This book is full of the sweetest ways to do that. Cha Cha’s heart for her own daughters shines through the ideas and makes me want to grab my girls, sit down at the kitchen table and talk. Her clever and easy going combination of working with your hands, using your creativity, sharing your inner thoughts and adding Scripture is an inspiration! I pray that all moms can catch the vision of spending this kind of quality time with their daughters, creating a bond that will last a lifetime. And in the process have a fun takeaway craft that will be a charming reminder of the time they spent together. Best of all, she beautifully points to Christ through this precious mother-daughter time. You will be blessed by this book.

Writing this book has been on my heart for several years but the timing was never right.
Until, God put all the pieces and people into place and allowed it to come together in record time, in a way that was and is so clearly Him.
I am blown away by all of the support and encouragement He has brought to me and others through this adventure and can not wait to see what He does next with it.
For now, I am offering it only from my blog. If you are interested, send me an email @ TheHeartfeltHome@gmail.com for more info.
