Sentimental Sunday #3

My kitchen table is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in my house.  It was a gift from my dad to my mom bought when I was a girl (less than 8).  I remember walking around the show room as each of the details were selected.  It fits perfectly in the bay window area.  This table has held more of my meals than I care to count.  It caught my spills while I was in my klutzy preteen years (who am I kidding I am still in my klutzy years). And it was at this table that I sat one summer night and prayed and asked my Savior into my heart.  This table represents my past and my future.  I am thankful to have it.

I love it when my decorating can be more than pretty, it can be meaningful

Sentimental Sunday #2 Highlight

I have been trying to decided how to spotlight my favorites from the Sentimental Sunday links and I have to tell you it is so hard for me.  I have found each one of them so moving and thank you all for linking up.  So I am going to have to pick one each week randomly.  I tried to have a favorite but could not.  So this weeks spotlight is on Imperfectly Wonderful World

She shared a set of prints that were here husbands grandmothers and a mirror that was her great great grandmother (I think that is who she would be).  .

I love to think about how many people in her family stood in front of this beautiful mirror, how special that she has all three of these hung together.  Now take my advice and go check out Michele's blog you will love it.

Pettit Creek Farms

This past weekend we went for a family adventure to
Pettit Creek Farms.
If you live in or are visiting the North Georgia area I highly recommend a visit to the farm.

We had a very fun day

There is a bumpy hay ride through the woods where you can see beautiful land and animals.

There are stops along the way to feed the animals

When is the last time you feed a zebra and a camel in the same day?

Or a baby goat?

I don't think feeding either of these two would be a good idea

Then there is the corn maze, where we played follow the leader.

A jumpy house to get out any extra energy

Family picture time

Then time to pick out our favorite pumpkins

This was our last ride with the top off for the year,
when we got home the hard top was put on and everything sealed up for the winter.

It was a great day

Country Living Fair

Hi friends,
if you have been here more than once you have read a comment from one of my dearest blogging friends
We have been trying to meet in real life for months
but life has a way of getting in the way.
Well..........
That is until Friday at the Country Living Fair.

Can I tell you it was worth the wait
She is just the best.
I was never afraid that we wouldn't hit it off
we are kindred spirits
I wish we would have kept up with all the thing we have found that we have in common.
When she drove up in the same SUV as me (same color and everything)
I knew it was going to be a GOOD day.
And it was.
We found inspiration at each turn.
Oh, did I mention she is a total celebrity
She had people coming up to her and recoginizing her bag,
She makes awesome bags and has an Etsy store Bag Full of Posies

Okay, I will leave you with a glimpse of the inspiration we were able to soak in.

Hubby has given me the go ahead on remodeling our travel trailer

wonder if I can figure out how dry mums and make a wreath???????

Hey wait someone has been in my yard painting my Bessie

Have I ever told you how much I love glitter

I love every wreath in this booth, just could not stop taking pictures

A driftwood Christmas tree, if I lived at the beach I would have one of these

I want this light fixture

Okay, if you knew me in real life this would need no explaination,
but...... I'll let you in on a secret
I wear heels, daily.
I love heels, I wore heels this day.
I am addicted to heels, there are worse problems to have

Ahhhhh, more drool worth light fixtures

Lets take a moment to talk about these chairs, I would take any one of them.
They are worthy of a room makeover just for them.

I'll take two of these yellow lovelies for my bedroom please,
anyone have $2,000 I can borrow have?

Love this, so simple, so beautiful

French loveliness, and those dog pillows stole my heart.

But out of all of this, the dough bowl is what came home with me and it now lives on my dinning room table

Thank you Kellie and Country Living for a fun day.
Thank you My Ms. Jan for watching the girls so I could have my fun day.
