PREPARING FOR FALL PART 1

I dug out my boxes of Fall decorations this weekend, so I could peek in and remember what I had.  Doing it this soon may seem crazy to some people,
but I find if I do it now I have time to be on the look out for anything I might want to add and
I have time to get any projects I want to do, done.

I am so thankful I took that little peek
because it reminded me of my poor shrunken tablecloth
from last year.
The first time I washed it it shrunk,
I continued to use it last year,
but had a great idea to fix it up for
this year.

Add a fabric trim.

I have been eyeing this fabric at Walmart since early Spring but I had no where to use it.
Until, I found my tablecloth that is.  I love how it adds a playful punch.

And of course with the cool new tablecloth I had to go ahead and put my pumpkin on the table,
his smile makes me smile.

While I was at it I dug out some Fall dish towels and gave them a little love
also.

So, what do you think?
Are you ready for Fall?

Oh, I love that fabric Cha Cha. It has a fall feel without screaming Halloween or Thanksgiving. You are so smart to add it to your tablecloth. I don't know if I'm ready to pull out my fall stuff yet. For now I'll enjoy looking at everyone else's.

The tablecloth looks great! I really like the fabric you chose. I'm not ready for Fall emotionally, but as far as cloths and stuff goes - yes. We're ready. :)

Oh, that fabric is beautiful. Dang it, you're going to make me want to sew... and that's saying a lot. Sewing makes me break out in hives. Very pretty! (the table cloth and the towels, not my hives... just to clarify!)

I have tons of fabric samples that could be stitched together to make this same look. I'm so glad I came across this post of yours!

How cute. The fabric you found is great and I like that you used a problem and made a custom item. I hope you'll link up to FFT, too, Cha Cha :)

Fantastic save on the tablecloth. Did you use fabric that was cut in a circle and then lay the green one on top? Sew with a length of fabric? how did you get it to lie flat? Thanks for sharing your creative ideas. Cherry Kay
