Perfect I am
Not.
Many of my friends and I have talked about how other peoples lives seem so much more put together-more "perfect" than our own.
Well, I am here to pull the curtain back on my not perfect life.
My house is not clean
My laundry is not done
My dinner is not planned
My kid is not well
Today, got up and started my coffee
Most days this happens between 5:00 and 5:30
I put more wood on the fire,so the house will be warm when everyone else starts getting up.
Then on to my favorite part of my day.
(anyone else love these books?)
There are piles of laundry to be done today
A dishwasher to unload and reload
Projects to work on
A sick kid to snuggle with
A new member of the family to teach not to get onto the furniture and knock over stuff
Crafts to finish
A child to teach
Even now I have some how managed to make it all look some what pretty,
But I want to be real
and to be
REAL
means I will show you what life really looks like
There are lots projects to do
more project waiting there turn
My beautiful school desk is taken over with projects
my family room taken over by a sick kid and my dinning room full of even more projects
This might even be the look I am faced with while I teach her today.
So please NEVER look at my life and think it is all neat and tidy,
Because it is NOT.
There is mess before beauty
and because I like beauty I am willing to live through the mess.
God is revealing to me that this is also a truth that applies to other areas of my life,
seldom do growth and beauty come without a little mess.
I hope to learn to embrace the mess as much as I do the beauty.
