The day started early, with some Quiet time and a little computer time,
and lots and lots of coffee
We were in the car by 6:58
and by we I mean me, my sister (she has got to love me for this shot)
and our poor children, we forced them out of there warm and cozy beds and into the car, because we were on a mission.
What's that mission you ask. We had to drive in traffic for two hours
to stand in line to get an orange bracelet.
An orange bracelet that would be our ticket in to see ............................... The Pioneer Woman
We have been waiting weeks for this day.
So we bribed our kids with Krispy Kreme doughnuts and off we went.
They are the cutest kids.
After Krispy Kreme doughnuts we went home to let the sugar high wear off, and to do school work. We are responsible (homeschooling)momma's
after all.
But then we had to get decked out in our homemade I heart P W (Pioneer Woman )shirts, because we are going to impress her with our coolness (ha).
We got to Borders around 5:00 and were lining up by 5:45. We were about 30 people back so we didn't have long to wait.
I am so bummed that our shirts didn't show better, we were to frazzled to think about how we were standing. Thanks Ree for your time and autograph (do you get tired of smiling for all of our cameras?).
Pioneer Woman's friend Hyacinth and sister Wetsy were there also. They were both very sweet I talked to Hyacinth about her family room remodel and homeschooling, and my sister got her picture made with Wetsy (picture and story to come later). We each got a new Pioneer Woman shirt that I am sure you will see us in often.
But then...............There is so much more to this story. See we also love Bakerella
and had hoped that she would be there, too. We even made the back of our shirts for her. And guess what......
She was there and not only was she there but we got to meet her also. We took our picture with her and she even took our picture with her camera (the one that takes all the beautiful cake pop pictures). I wish we would have taken a picture with us turned around so we could see her name. Bakerella if you got that shot can we have a copy PLEASE!!!!
By the way you have to have blond hair and wear a brown shirt to be in our club, it is very exclusive.

How fun!!! I was there too, that crowd was insane. Sadly, I wasn't able to get PW's autograph, but I did get Hyacinth's and Betsy's autographs and a cool t-shirt too! Love your shirts, they are super cute!!!
I seen her on Ellen and Martha Stewart (I think it was Martha.) Very cool and love the shirts.
You girls look too cute love your idea!
How funny! I came back here through PW's shout-out and when I saw your picture and bio I thought, "That's Cha Cha! She just commented about the Free Durt sign on my blog the other day!" And I remembered reading your account right after the signing after googling Pioneer Woman in Atlanta. We really should get together. We can't keep meeting like this! ;)

Hi Cha Cha...
Ohhh...what a fun day that must have been! I think that getting up so early and having to drag all the children out to get your orange wristband was well worth it!!! You know, I must admit that I had never heard of the Pioneer Woman until just a few months ago...and that was right here in blogland! I've seen a few of her recipes and they sound scrumptious! Ohhh...winning one of her cookbooks would be a fabulous gift giveaway! Can't wait, my friend!!!
Thank you for sharing your fun day of meeting the Pioneer Woman and Bakerilla with us for Sunday Favorites!
Have a super Sunday, Darlin'!
