ALL DECKED OUT FOR CHRISTMAS

I love decorating for Christmas, it makes the anticipation of the celebration so much more special.  I have never given a party without spending many hours in preparation, so how fitting that for the most special birthday party I spend the most time and effort.  I do not have a perfect house with perfect decoration, but I love the home my husband and I work so hard to create.  I hope you will enjoy this peek at our home prepared for the celebration of the birth of our Savior.

The kitchen view

This cookie jar makes me smile every year when I pull it out.

I always keep seasonal candy in this dish, it is such an easy and yummy way to decorate.

I made this simple Christmas Decoration just before a party to make things more festive.

The candy in this cabinet makes it so whimsical.

This tree proves The Nester's point about not needing a tree skirt.  I had always thought a tree skirt was a must and was so proud of myself when I found this cute vintage apron to go around this tree.  But just look as soon as I put the presents around it   NO MORE SKIRT. I had never thought about this until her post.

Moving on to the dinning room

I love my china cabinet (it was my grandparents) all decked out.

The family room is graced with some great free decorations

See these great magnolia leaves they are free, straight out of my yard.  It is the perfect southern Christmas decoration

The mantel is all decked out and ready to impress Santa as he gets out of the chimney with his bag of toys.

And finally the TREE

I have collected Santa heads (sounds creepy I know) for years, here are a few of my favorites.

All of the years when you and mom drug me out of the house to be nosey and look into other people's houses for the Christmas Season I just didn't get the point. It was cold, ususally raining, we had to gear up in hospital booties and the two of you were never happier...well except for dealing with the grump in the back seat. It must have paid off becuase your house looks great! I know I have "toured" it in person but I might actually could get into "touring" other people's homes from the comfort of my own home without the protective shoes and strangers. You will have to create your top 10 list and then I will go on my own "tour" of homes from your suggestions.

I have that exact same milk glass dish. Imagine that living on different continents and recognizing something from your own home.

Santa heads...no not creepy at all. As a matter of fact, I'd like to have his head on a platter this year! LOL
Just kidding!
Everything is so neat and tidy at your home..just lovely. I keep making messes..I never seem to be finished although I keep thinking I am. If I sound confused..it's no wonder! I didn't get out of my jams all day today. I probably need help! :)
Seriously, your home is lovely. I LOVE that piano! Not to mention the Santa sitting on it! Just beautiful!
