19 Days of Homemade Gifts ~ Day 4 ~ Cookie Sheet Chalkboard

Cookie sheet chalkboard
This Cookie Sheet Chalkboard is a great simple gift to let your kids make and then they could wrap it up for their teachers.  I grabbed a 2-pack of cookie sheets from the dollar store.

I used a fine grit sandpaper and ruffed up the flat surface before I painted it with chalkboard paint.

After painting several coats of paint and allowing them to dry fully, I got busy with the chalk.

Using the side of a piece chalk I lightly went over the entire surface of the chalkboard.

Then wiped off the excess.

Now, you are ready to write on your new Chalkboard.

Hot glue four magnets to the back of the cookie sheet and one to the back of a cute embellishment.  The chalkboard can be hung on the refrigerator and you are ready to keep up with your weekly menu or whatever your heart desires.
