Tea Towel and a Business?

It was one of those perfect rainy days.  The kind that is just too cold and wet to go anywhere so the girls and I huddled around the family room doing some crafts.   I have seen cute tea towels all over the place the last few years,  My oldest daughter even made some for Christmas gifts a few years ago,  I have been wanting to try my hand at making some.  This is my first creation.

I have some more patterns brewing around in my head, and hopefully will have time in the next week to get started on them.  I was wondering what all you smart and savvy ladies thought about me selling tea towels ( not this pattern) on Etsy or something like it?  Does anyone have an Etsy business and have words of wisdom to share.  I am also looking for some one to do a custom blog design for me,  any suggestions?

Thanks,

I have been wondering about Etsy, myself. I don't make anything, but I sell vintage clothing. I've been selling on ebay for years, but wondering if I should try Etsy.
???
Good luck, hope you get some answers!
Love the towel,
~Amy

HI ChaCha!
Thanks for visiting me at Tales from Bloggeritaville and also for commenting.
No you aren't crazy re: my button. I cannot get it to work. So what I would suggest is copy and paste to a folder on your computer, then uplad to your sidebar and link back to my blog address.
Thanks for asking!

Cha Cha, These are just adorable. I don't have an etsy shop, but I love all the beautiful and unique things I can get there.
I would love to have some of these. Have you thought of making napkins, or hand towels for bathrooms? They would be great.
Such a good idea!

What a great craft. I love buttons. I'm new on the blogging... The only advice I have about blogs is if you have a teenager around they usually know what they are doing! lol

dear sweet cha cha!!!

it is so good to finally visit with you.:) first, i think the tea towel are super cute & i agree. you should give etsy a try. it is nice because you are in control. and when you just don't have time to make something you can put a note on your etsy page & say you'll be back in a week. (now, those are my kind of business/working hours.) :)

i love your post of crafting for little sister's room. and i love what you did with the letter & using cardboard. you smarty pants! i am making some letters for valentine's with mod podge.

you have been busy~! with crafting & link parties. i hope to link up with some either this week or next. my sister is staying with us, so i may not get too much crafting in.

take care my sweet friend. your girls are precious! how come i feel like i know you so well - already??? :)

they are lovely.

I do really well on etsy. It is cheap to give it a try but there are definitely some tricks and hard work to getting it to work. Go into the forums and search for the newbie guide post and that will be tons of help.

Feel free to send me an email if you want more info I love helping people start out on etsy. Good look

Those are so cute! I love the button detail. Sorry, but I don't have any wisdom to share about Etsy. You should go for it!

BTW, the fabric I used for my shower curtain was by Waverley.

Have a great day!

Cute dish towels...I love them...my mom made sure I had a couple of dish towel sets in my trousseau that she made or embrodiered before I was married and now makes a set for all her granddaughters when they are married. I don't know anything about etsy but I check out the goods on a lot of blogs.
