WINTER WONDER

My house has seemed so sad since taking down the Christmas decorations. So, I decided to spend a little while this morning on the mantel.  I wanted a natural winter look, something cozy but not fussy.

I just love pine cones, we collect them out of the yard and do things with them all the time.

I love how the candle colors reflect the colors that I am seeing out side right now, with the snow.

My favorite winter decoration is my wagon full of firewood.  I love the textural, and physical warmth it adds to my home.  The best thing about the wagon is the memories of my babies being pulled in it, my heart is glad that it still has a place here.

These are a couple of my winter decorations, but I thought I would share the decorating God has done around here.

I hope you and your family are staying warm...

Your mantel is simply beautiful. I love the pinecones too and I am especially loving your wagon of firewood. What a creative wood holder :). And thanks for reminding me that God's handiwork in winter is gorgeous...even if I hate being cold :). Lovely photos. Thanks for linking up.

Lovely winter decorations. Simple and chic. I shouldn't have packed my pinecones away. I might just have to unpack them again.

The thing I love about winter decor is it makes me picture a fireplace, a warm blanket and a hot cup of cocoa.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Your mantel arrangement is so lovely. I love the rustic touches, perfect for winter. We have snow here too, but just returned from a visit to family 2 hours away and they have over 3 feet of fresh snow, not including snow banks.

The pine cones hanging on your mirror look beautiful--simple and elegant--they bring the outdoors in! Winter looks beautiful where you live--sometimes I actually miss the snow : ) But we are getting plenty cold enough for this transplanted southern gal!

Great outdoor photos. It would be nice to hibernate by the fireplace for the winter.

Hi Cha Cha-

I love the pictures of nature. The best decorating to me is when you have a great view of the outside. I love the pinecones too. Very pretty, very clever and a nice way to bring the outdoors in.

Love the pine cones- they make me miss my childhood home in E. Washington- we had huge ponderosa pine trees in our yard. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm bookmarking yours, your pictures are beautiful :)
