Candy Land Christmas Kitchen

What happens when you give two little girls 10 bags of candy and a hot glue gun?

A Candy Land Christmas Kitchen of course!!

They got busy gluing gum drops onto a wreath form,
and were doing great.  While finishing another project our dog decided to make the wreath into a snack

SO, they started over .

It turned out great.

They also glued peppermints together to make garland.
***update, my email is exploding with questions on how the peppermint garland was made***
So here is the how to
Hot glue one end of a wrapper to the end of another peppermints wrapper (try to get glue on the twisted part so that they do NOT untwist and come open).  Hold this tight for a few seconds and then repeat, and repeat and repeat.  Very easy but takes a  bit of time.

You can find out more about my Christmas ornament frame here

Then they made peppermint and gum drop trees.

There you have it

OMG I love all of it!! The gum drop wreath is adorable!!

I'm more a traditional, red and green, homespun or gum drop/candy kind of gal than an elegant Christmas gal! :)

How fun is this - I'm already planning on making the wreath and have all the supplies! Love the garland with it - and especially love that the girls helped you!

I actually made similar gumdrop trees one year and it takes FOREVER. Kudos to making so many pieces and the mint garland is amazing!

I'm a little unsure how to keep them from untwisting, but I'll play around with the glue placement.

Thanks for the idea.

Better to decorate with it, than eat it, right?

(Lower dental bills!)

I've never seen that peppermint garland...very original.
