I DID IT, I MADE A MISTREATMENT

Okay, if you don't know who The Nester is you probably think I am crazy.  You can check out all of her  mistreatments here.   These are her definitions:

Mistreatment: (n). covering for a window that is quick, cheap and pretty. may or may not need hardware does not require sewing. a real designer’s worst nightmare.
Mistreating: (v). the act of treating a window with dignity and respect without use of the following: hundreds of dollars, sewing, time, crying, divorce, child neglect…

Well here's the thing, I didn't do a curtain, I did a pillow.  Does that count?  Well any whooo, she inspired me and I'm calling it a mistreatment ( please forgive me Nester, I promise to do a window next time,  I promise I like to follow rules really I do).  Are you sick of my rambling yet, it's what happens when I talk to or about people I admire. I become a total goof,  just ask The The Pioneer Woman or Bakerella.

So with out further rambling, here goes nothing.

I grabbed  some pillows from Little Sisters bed.

And my trusty glue gun, Bertha.

I started by cutting some clearance fabric from Joann's into 2 in. wide pieces.
I glued the edges of the fabric onto the ends of the pillow covers.

I found the center of the pillow and the center of the fabric and glued there.  I continued doing this all the way down the pillow.

Making what looks to me like ribbon candy.  I love the unfinished edges, I think it is a good contrast on such a frilly pillow.  I did 4 stripes this way, until I ended up with this.

I have one more pillow to do and some more work on the coverlet and I will re-reveal the bed.

So what do you think, can a pillow be a mistreatment also?
