Christmas Time Is Here

I have been so excited to start decorating for Christmas.
I love pulling all the boxes out and going through memories as I unwrap each of  the decorations.
It is always a time of reflection on how far our little family has come and the memories we have made.
I started this year by decorating  my mantle.

The first thing I did was make my Book Page Wreath, after it was finished I added the Merry Christmas sign from last years Christmas wreath.
Then thanks to my beautiful magnolia tree
I had great greenery to fill my antique butter churn and pot.
With a few candle and berries added my mantle is now ready for Christmas..

And these fabulous stockings have been a dream of mine for a couple of years.
I was tired of the ones we had and when Hubby even said I should make new ones,
I knew this was the year.
So, I dug out my sewing machine and after a night with no sleep
these are the stockings we will be using for years to come.
I think they are worth a little sleep deprivation, don't you?.
I am still on the look out for the perfect beaded letters to hang from the hook with them,
Just so Santa doesn't get confused trying to guess which stocking belongs to which person.

I love that Hubby's is nice and manly
and the girls and I have sweet frilly ones.

Oh, by the way I got the awesome bottle brush tree at the Country Living Fair,
I love the vintage feel it adds.

I hope to have my dinning room table ready to show you in a day or two.
Happy Decorating.

So pretty! Let me know where you find those letters. We have to tell Santa every year whose stocking is whose.

OK, your new stockings are so much better than mine! LOL! But it would take me three nights with no sleep to make stockings, so we'll have to do without them this year.

I am so crazy about your wreath. I have GOT to make one to-day!

Your whole mantle is fabulous. Lisa~

i'm loving your stockings! i was noticing last night that ours are all red and totally clashing with the look i want. since my boyfriend's is the one his mom knitted when he was a baby, we aren't getting rid of it. so red it is! i'll just pretend they're tan and burlappy like yours! great job!
