SILHOUETTES

I don't know about you lovelies but every time is see

a silhouette of children I drool.

I love the classic element it adds to a family picture wall.

So as soon as I saw that my friend Kellie at This Blessed Nest was having a

Silhouette Party I knew I had to get busy and made one of my own kids.

I missed the first party but better late than never,

or that is what I keep telling myself.

Here is what I ended up with after a couple of tries (will go over that in a few).  I knew I wanted a ribbon bow and a printed background for a updated twist on the classic design.  I am very happy with the modern, girly feel they have and can't wait to add them to our family photo wall,
but that is a project for another day.

So here is what I learned!!!!
I planned on doing this back at the beginning of Summer and took pictures of the girls while there hair was still long.

My goal was to show all their curls and put the bow on the side, mistake.
Do NOT try this, it was awful, my beautiful girls ended up looking like blobs.

So back to the drawing board,
I decided to put their hair up today and try again.

This gave me the look I wanted and I am so pleased.
So glad I started over.

Don't forget to come back Sunday for Sentimental Sunday

I love silhouettes. They remind me of growing up because my little sister and I had ours hanging in a hallway at our house.

Bounced over from HCB. Nice meeting you!

These bring back such good memories as my parents had these of us. But the bows are wonderful additions. So cute. I really need to do this for my daughter. Thank you!
